Thompson Outdoors Partners With The Deyarmin Memorial Benefit Fund

Daleville, VA June 2, 2007 – Thompson Outdoor Supply, announced today that they are supporting the Third Annual LCPL Daniel “Nate” Deyarmin Memorial Benefit Run, which will be on June 10, 2007.

The event, run by the Deyarmin Memorial Benefit Fund (DMBF), is in memory of USMC Lcpl Daniel Deyarmin who lost his life on August 1, 2005 while defending his country.

Adam Thompson, owner of Thompson Outdoor Supply, says “we are proud to honor one of the men and women who have sacrificed their lives to give us the freedoms we enjoy. I never had the opportunity to meet Daniel, but he has left a great legacy of a man who gave all he had for the good of others.”

According to Tina Underwood from the DMBF, “Nate was one of those people who always had a grin on his face. He would quite literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.”

Benefits from the event are used by the Fund to benefit veterans and servicemen and women. Tina reports that the fun has raised over $40,000 in two years and that “The money has been used to buy golf equipment for a local veterans hospital…[to pay] medical bills, heating bills, rent, etc for down on their luck veterans and their families… No veteran that has come for us for help has been turned down.”
